Eternal Standing Mirror

We’ve all observed that young children have a particular, universal fascination with mirrors. Before scientific explanation and years of familiarity strip away their mystery, a mirror appears to be nothing short of magic. The same memory of mankind’s natural reverence for mirrors has been passed down through the centuries in fairy tales. This design attempts to recapture something of that ethereal beauty and present it as something simultaneously ancient and modern.

These artistic aims can be achieved through the combination of materials and their proportions. A driving force of Modernism was the rediscovery of the striking power of basic geometric forms as were used in primitive Architecture. We can only guess what the purpose of Stonehenge may have been, but nonetheless we respond to its geometry instinctually.
